L'Oréal Men Expert Pure Charcoal Range Review

Today I'm going to be talking about the new Pure Charcoal cleansing toolbox designed specifically for men.

It comes in this neat concept packaging, the products mapped out like computer avatars where you get to 'select player'. Playing neatly on the theme of how one can 'level up' on their grooming regime.

The four new products I road-tested were:

WASH: Targeting imperfections, spots, blackheads, oily skin, roughness and marks. A decent everyday face wash. Neat packaging, black with green neon tones and an overall early 90's Tetris vibe. I think it's appealing to the nostalgia in me.

SCRUB: A daily face scrub. Enriched with purifying charcoal that reduces the appearance of blackheads and blemishes. What I like about this product is that use natural particles for the exfoliating process. The microbeads in scrubs these days have to be eco-conscious if they're going on my grill.

CLAY MASK: A decent application that you can put on and let sit whilst you watch the footy or in my case, Game Changers on Netflix. Once applied, leave for ten minutes then rinse off and your skin is left mattified and clearer.

SHEET MASK: Again it's eco-conscious because this sheet mask is Biodegradable. This is why I love being an ambassador for L'Oreal. Apply this sheet mask for five minutes and with the purifying charcoal and hydrating Glycerine it both mattifies and moisturises the skin.

If you have breakouts it won't combat them. A gentle cleanser is more needed. It's also not overly messy like other products. The application is much easier than other masks because of the thick consistency.

My skin has definitely improved, even though I feel like I'm a bit fatigued with work. After seven days use I found this has been a great find for my grooming regime. The ONLY downside is that I would love to see some of these products in soap form as opposed to plastic. It would be the only way I could feel better about these products. My shelf is filling up with plastic because of the amount of grooming products I now own. So a little footnote about the packaging But that’s a minor grumble.
