PITTI UOMO STYLE

I can pretty much pass off for most nationalities and recently I must have been asked a handful of times "are you Italian" of which I have to reply in my dirtiest London accent "Nah geeze, born in East Landan mate". But it got me thinking, Italians know style, know how to dress and with Pitti Uomo happening, why not put together my best Italian inspired outfit.

I'm so proud to be a Londoner, the culture, history and style that our great city has is an massive inspiration to me. Our style has been reborn as one of the greats with influences from other countries traditions and cultures like Italian, French, Japanese, Swedish & New York, all of which I would say are synonymous to style.

What I love most about London style is the diversity from the classic historical tailoring of Savile Row to street style hipsters of (lets say) East London. However I have dedicated this look to our Italian European neighbours.

Pitti Uomo is a Menswear trade show based out of Florence in Italy and is a must for any menswear brand to showcase at. Much like London Collections: Men, it is not only a fashion event, it is a fashion show for everyone that attends. Pitti Uomo street style is a big part of the event, with GQ always picking their best street style looks for the event.

I have based this look on classic tailoring and warm weather, so I have used blacks, blues and accessorised with cream/white colours. When wearing a double breasted blazer, make sure it is tailored slightly shorted than the standard single breasted styles. It is also preference but only button up the middle button as in my photos above. The shorts need to be cut above the knee and with the blazer being a bold colour and check patterned, try to accessorise only with plain colours, no other patterns.

Right I'm off to Italy...maybe ;)
