Espresso Martini Candle: The Best Way to Create an Atmosphere
The lady of the house has been burning these candles all week. Mainly in her office as she has the cat trays in there and the smell can become a little funky. But she's been setting one off in recent days that have gotten all my juices flowing.
The Espresso Martini by Leoben, a unique blend of rich and robust masculine aromas of an Espresso Martini is made with USA vegetable wax and lead-free wicks. It provides a clean burn and long-lasting fragrance.
I bought mine from a strip mall, along with two other candles that I'll review at a later stage once I've put them through their paces. Unfortunately I cannot trace the exact one online, but will keep an eye out and update the blog when it comes back into stock. If you're looking for an alternative they can of course be sourced on ETSY.
Their candles are poured in Orange County, California with a soy wax blend derived from American-growth soybeans. The candles are scented with a hand-selected blend of phthalate-free (nope not sure what this either) fragrance oils and essential oils to create a luxurious experience during each burn.
I personally have always been into candles. So much so I looked into starting my own candle company awhile back. It creates a very soothing atmosphere in the house, and especially at the work desk where all the stress happens.
Some candles contain essential oils known for their calming properties, further enhancing the therapeutic effect. Now I'll admit, I'm loving this Espresso Martini candle partly because it makes me think of happy hour down my local. AND despite what science might tell you, alcohol can be good therapy.
If you're inviting a lady round for the first time, this would be the perfect scent to get the mood going. No one dislikes Espresso Martinis, and it shows that you've put a little thought into creating an ambience.
The day after I do recommend opening a couple of windows in the flat, (yes even though it's freezing out) and getting some clean air in. It's been known that candles can produce triggers for people who are asthmatic. You can find more information on that in this REDDIT thread.
Personally I like to have a candle by the workstation at home, and by my bedside at night when I'm settling down to read a book. Also it can't hurt to have a little additional ambience in the bedroom. We've all seen that Madonna film right? Actually neither have I, but I've heard of it. Crikey I hope Defoe had a stunt double for that.
