Ciroa Australia blue cypress & cedarwood Body Scrub Review

Today I'm going to share my thoughts on the blue cypress & cedarwood rejuvenating Body Scrub by Ciroa. Ciroa is an Australia brand, inspired by the warrior spirit, women-founded, owned, that celebrates innovation and beauty.

I picked this off the shelf thinking the design had more of a masculine appeal. I wasn't aware this was a product targeted for women and when I went to the Ciroa website I couldn't find this particular product so I assume it's not discontinued.

Ciroa believe in layering your scent, which starts in the shower with their alluring bespoke blends. Their vision is for the experience of their brand to unlock your inner warrior and natural radiance, inspiring and elevating as many women as they can along the way. (By the way their website is nothing but a whole load of this empty-calorie good vibe BS)>

Can men use women's body scrubs? Well I use Tuula's coffee body scrub all the time, but that is a neutral scent. I also went through a phase of making my own body scrub using the remains of my filtered coffee and infusing that with some leftover margarine that had been clogging up the fridge for the past year. Let's just say it was a project that never got off the ground.

By and large, most of the products Tuula and I use are interchangeable. We don't purposely buy unisex products, but rarely do we have products that we strictly assign to each other. This blue cypress & cedarwood rejuvenating Body Scrub by Ciroa is no exception.

Inside the tin foil was already ripped open so I suspect some curious shopper had wanted to get their nose into the product before buying, thought better of it and just put it back on the shelf. Fine.

I've heard that the resinous smell of cypress pine is similar to the smell of a surfboard. I don't get that personally. Maybe because I don't hang out on Bondi Beach on weekends. Or any other day of the week. I do get some generic hotel incense aroma instead, and a non-descript woody scent.

Overall the product is worth a try if you can find it. But I won't be seeking it out. I much prefer my coffee body scrub, but you know how much I like my coffee.
